Hi, I’m Lizz!
Growing up with immigrant parents in Los Angeles was a blessing for taste, but a curse for health. I loved many different kinds of foods growing up & really enjoyed all the memories my family gifted me with eating together.
We used to go to Dim Sum every Sunday with all my cousins. My mom cooked yummy homecooked meals for dinner, but I often ate donuts for breakfast and Cup of Noodles for lunch. We also ate Pizza Hut and fast food regularly.
In my 20s, I dealt with various health issues that lead me learning a lot about holistic health and ancestral nutrition. It was a rough few years, but now I am very grateful for the educational experience.
Now I’m a mom and I want to make yummy and nutritious food for my family.
As a kid, I was obsessed with watching the Food Network shows. A few of my favorites were Unwrapped, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee.
However, I didn’t learn how to cook until I was an adult. During my few years as a college student, I practiced more and more until I started to feel comfortable cooking and began to really enjoy the process as well as sharing my meals.
